ESCANABA — An Escanaba woman has been order to repay $58,568.41 in restitution to the Social Security Administration.
Cynthia Ogren, 56, received five years probation as part of her sentence to one count of lying to a peace officer. Ogren was one of five people arrested last October by Escanaba Public Safety as part of a joint investigation with the Social Security Administration Office of the Inspector General into the misuse of funds from the Disability Insurance Program.
Ogren pleaded guilty to a lesser charge last month as part of a plea agreement.
