Sault Ste. Marie, Mich – The death of a Sault Ste. Marie woman is being investigated as a homicide.
Last night at around 10 pm, police responded to Minneapolis Street where a man and woman each had been cut.
The man fled the scene while police were enroute.
The woman, 27–year–old Hayley Anne Smith, was found dead at the scene.
Police found the man a couple of blocks away.
He was transported to the War Memorial Hospital for a severe cut on his arm.
He was arrested early Wednesday morning.
His name has not been released.
